Hi! I am Avni :) I am a computer science and cognitive science major and co-chair for the Try/CATCH planning committee this year! I am passionate about finding new ways to get younger female and non binary students to be interested in the wonderful world of CS and Try/CATCH is a great event to make that happen and hence my commitment and dedication to it!

Vidhi is a 2nd-year Computing Science student who is thrilled to be part of Try/CATCH this year. In her free time, she loves playing table tennis and listening to songs while taking long walks. Vidhi is passionate about AI and web development and is excited to meet all the attendees at Try/CATCH this year!

Chloe is a third year Software Systems and Computer Engineering student. She is very excited to meet all the girlies that will attend Try/CATCH! In her free time she loves playing volleyball and going on food adventures.

Lauren is a 4th year CS student with an interest in AI and visual and interactive computing. Her favourite things include swimming, exploring, books, and painting! She is happy to be supporting young women in STEM this Try/CATCH and looking forward to all the memories that will be made.

Emily is a second-year Computer Science major and Interactive Arts & Technology minor at SFU. When she’s not coding, she enjoys watching 2000s movies, spending time with friends and baking. Emily is thrilled to be part of the Try/CATCH committee this year and can’t wait to share her passion for STEM!

I am a third year Computer Science major and currently pursuing a minor in Interactive Arts and Technology! In my free time you will find me listening to music, cooking, or playing video games! I am looking forward to a great time with everyone at Try/Catch 2024!

Shiva is a 4th year Computing Science student. In her free time, she enjoys tending to her plants and playing volleyball. She also loves to talk about pop culture, whether it's the newest TV shows, celebrity gossip, or viral memes. She is super excited to meet everyone at Try/CATCH 2024!

Serena is a fourth-year Computing Science student, minoring in Psychology. She started coding at the end of her first year of university and now enjoys making cool projects. In her free time, she enjoys going for walks, painting and playing video games with her sisters. She is excited to be a part of the Try/Catch team this year and looks forward to helping create a fun experience for those attending!

Hi! I’m Emily, a second year student in computing science, aiming to minor in business. I can't wait to work on the recruiting team for Try/CATCH 2024! I’m always looking for new music and book recommendations, so reach out if there’s anything that you’re obsessed with!

Mara is a second-year Computing Science student at SFU and Co-Events Coordinator for WiCS! After she attended Try/CATCH in grade 12, she was set on pursuing Computer Science in university. She loves to sing and her favourite music genres are R&B, Jazz, and Soul. Mara is excited for Try/CATCH 2024 and can't wait to meet all of you!

Jasmine is a Computer Science student at SFU. In her free time she enjoys making jewelry, playing guitar, and riding her hello kitty skateboard. They are very excited to provide a welcoming experience to technology for young women and non-binary students at this year’s Try/CATCH!

Karen is a Computing Science and Business student at SFU. She is excited to help with the Try/CATCH event, aiming to help others explore the world of computing science. In her free time, she likes reading, playing games, and meeting new people. She looks forward to connecting with the attendees!

Gurneet is a second-year Computing Science student who is very excited to be a part of this year's Try/CATCH team. She is pursuing her second degree, with her first degree being in Biomedical Sciences. In her free time she can be found reading, embroidering, or spending time with her cat! She is looking forward to meeting all the wonderful Try/CATCH attendees this year :)
